You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Service and participate in tournaments with entry fees. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you will not allow any person under the age of 18 to use your account.

4. Tournaments, Fees, and Prizes

ChessNova may offer free and paid-entry tournaments. For paid tournaments:

  • Entry Fees: The entry fee for each tournament is clearly stated. These fees are pooled to form the prize fund for that specific tournament.
  • Prizes: Prizes are awarded to the top-ranking players based solely on their performance and results within the tournament. The prize structure will be published before the tournament begins.
  • No Wagers: You acknowledge that ChessNova does not permit or offer any form of wagering or betting. The entry fee is for participation in a contest of skill, not a wager against other players or the house.
  • Payment and Fulfillment: Prize fulfillment is subject to verification of your identity and compliance with these Terms and our Fair Play Policy.

5. User Conduct and Fair Play

You agree to abide by the ChessNova Fair Play Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms. Any violation of the Fair Play Policy, including the use of chess engines or other forms of cheating, will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of prizes, and potential account termination.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of ChessNova and its licensors. The ChessNova name and logo are trademarks of ChessNova. Our trademarks may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
